This page explains which cookies and storage mechanisms this website uses, under Article 122 of Italian Legislative Decree 196/2003 and the cookie guidelines issued by the Italian data protection authority (Garante) on 10 June 2021.

In short

This site sets no cookies in your browser.

There are no technical session cookies for visitors, no analytics cookies and no profiling cookies. No traffic measurement tool of any kind is used.

That is why there is no cookie banner: before any explicit action on your part, the site stores nothing that would require your consent.

What is stored in your browser

The site uses a single browser storage entry. It is not a cookie: it is never transmitted to the server with each request and remains on your device.

Video choice

  • Name: `video-consent`
  • Type: localStorage
  • Purpose: remembering that you chose to load videos from a given provider, if you ticked "Remember my choice". It exists so you are not asked again for every video.
  • Duration: until you clear the site's data from your browser.
  • Legal basis: it records a choice you made; it is written only if you explicitly tick the box.

If you do not tick "Remember my choice", nothing is stored and every video will ask again.

Third-party cookies: the video players

Project videos are hosted on this site and set no cookies. Some pages may also contain videos hosted on YouTube.

These videos do not load when the page opens. A preview image with a button and a notice is shown instead. Until you press that button, no request goes to Google and no third-party cookie is set.

When you press it, the player loads and the provider sets its own cookies, over which the owner of this site has no control. Consent is therefore collected exactly where it is needed, through an unambiguous action by you.

Where technically possible, the most privacy-preserving option the provider offers is used: YouTube is loaded from the `youtube-nocookie.com` domain, which limits the cookies set before playback begins.

The administration area of this site uses a technical session cookie, needed to keep the administrator signed in. It concerns the site owner alone and is never set on a visitor's device.

How to clear or block this data

You can clear whatever the site has stored in your browser at any time, and set your browser to block cookies. Instructions for the most common browsers:

Clearing the site's local storage does not break anything: you will simply be asked once more whether to load videos.
